The wood-fired oven at Broken Tree Pizza, a mosaic-tiled dome with BTP set into the arch in mirror tile and a live fire burning on the stone floor

Family-Owned. Neenah, Wisconsin, since 2015.

Wood-fired pizza out of a tiled oven in downtown Neenah.

Homemade dough, stretched by hand, onto the stone floor of a real wood fire. That is where the char on the crust comes from.

Hand-stretched raw pizza dough resting on a wooden peel against subway tile

It starts as a lump of dough

Stretched by hand, not pressed by a machine.

It is homemade, hand-stretched dough, pulled out by hand, which is why no two crusts come out the same shape. Then it goes onto the stone, under the fire, and comes back out in a few minutes with the leopard spotting down one edge.

What comes out of the fire

25 specialty pizzas, grouped under 5 sauces.

Delicious Wood-fired Pizza, and every pizza on the board is twelve inches. Pick a sauce first, because the sauce is how the whole menu is organised.

Customize your own

Six sauces, not two.

Most places hand you red or white. Here you build a twelve inch pizza or a calzone from $12.00, and the sauce is the first thing you choose.

  2. Choose your sauceRed, white, bbq, garlic, pesto, or green chili oil.
  3. Choose your toppingsUp to five.
  4. Choose a finishOptional, $1 each. Arugula, balsamic glaze, cilantro, EVOO drizzle, green chili oil drizzle, or honey drizzle, added after the pizza is cooked.

What people say

One reviewer drives an hour and fifteen minutes for it.

This place hits the spot for both atmosphere and delicious food! ... They cook it in a wood-fired oven, which gives it that perfectly crispy crust and smoky flavor we all love. For the adventurous eaters out there, their fire sticks are a must-try!

I tried BTP tonight for the 1st time, and I thought it was awesome! I highly recommend the Broken Pine (pesto sauce, goat cheese, onion, red pepper and balsamic glaze!) Yum!!

We enjoyed lunch with a couple beers... The pizza was delicious, we love that wood fired crispy crust and they nailed it. They have a good selection of beers from local breweries... There is parking in the back of the restaurant.

The dough is homemade and hand-stretched, and it bakes on the stone floor of a wood-burning oven with a live fire in it. That is where the char on the crust comes from. It is an Italian-inspired, American-style Neapolitan pie, not a pan pizza.

Yes. Customize Your Own starts at $12 for a 12 inch pizza or calzone with house blend cheese. You pick one of six sauces (red, white, bbq, garlic, pesto, or green chili oil), up to five toppings, and an optional finish added after it comes out of the oven.

Five of the specialty pizzas are marked veggie on our menu, one under each sauce: Garden (red), Roasted Goat (white), Arya's List (creamy garlic), Spicy BBQ, and Broken Pine (pesto). The Traditional Margherita has no meat on it either, and you can always build your own.

There is a kids menu. The Sapling is an 8 inch pizza with house blend cheese, your choice of sauce and up to two toppings, with a drink. There is also Kraft mac and cheese with applesauce and a drink. Both are dine-in specials and both are $8.

Yes. Call the shop at (920) 720-2275 and take your pizza home. We also have dine-in seating, and we welcome children.

We do not make dessert ourselves. Frozen Tree, a separate ice cream shop down the hall in the same Marketplace building, scoops Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream seven days a week.

The fire is lit from eleven.
